The classic weekender racer/cruiser in composite
The Morley 25 is today's answer to the small classic yacht. Built using advanced composite techniques and with a low-maintenance, real wood veneer, this yacht combines the advanced performance of today's composites with the look and feel of a real classic.
She has been developed by combining a love of classic yacht design with advanced composite manufacture resulting in a yacht with exceptional performance and unique character.
Designed and specified to offer freedom to sailors, her suitability ranges from racing regattas in the Mediterranean to exploring the tidal rivers and creeks of Cornwall while capable of making the long passages in between.
Her aluminium mast is easy to lower and raise using the deck-stepped tabernacle and has an option of a sleeve join to allow for easy road transport. The mast can be stowed forward keeping the companionway and cockpit free for trips through the French canals and European waterways to the Mediterranean.
Under the real mahogany finish the Morley 25 is built using the same high tech materials, processing methods and advanced composite engineering we have built into Volvo 70s, Open 60s and Class 40s.
Our unique method of veneer surfacing, used in the Morley 25, was developed in 2001 and has been applied to some of the world’s most prestigious superyachts. The Morley 25’s real mahogany veneer is low in maintenance and highly durable.
The Morley 25’s real mahogany veneer is 0.6mm thick and very durable, the construction of hull and deck uses 0.0097m3 of hardwood - about the size of a shoe box. We can build more than 100 yachts from the same amount of hardwood it would take to build just one traditionally, that’s without applying Hopper’s rule.
Fully custom versions can be built to individual requirements. We look forward to meeting the owner who wants to win the concours d'elegance everywhere they go with a custom burr elm hull, teak deck and wooden spars.
Offered ready to sail, the Morley 25 comes complete with everything you need to get out on the water as per the specification lists below. Demonstration sails can be arranged, please contact us.
